Cristian Agalopol

Head of Securities Services Central and Eastern Europe, Citi

Cristian is Head of Securities Services for Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, and a member of the Management Board of Citi Romania.

His career at Citi spans over 20 years across a number of positions, comprising front and back office roles. He has widespread experience of working with local and international banks, international broker dealers, global custodians and the market infrastructure institutions.

Cristian is a leading expert in the securities services industry, and was Chairman of the Board for the Romanian Central Securities Depository (CSD) between 2012 and 2015. He has been a serving Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Romania since 2014.
