Dimitar joined TM Law Office in 2005. He advises clients on data protection, securities law, energy law, IT law, and foreign direct investments, while also undertaking relevant court representation. Dimitar’s expertise in corporate law often sees him advising on corporate restructurings, M&A procedures, and compliance, as well as assisting start-ups.

Dimitar has been involved in most of the GDPR compliance assignments of T&M, focusing on various aspects of high-impact data processing activities, data protection by default, digital marketing, no-conflict involvement of DPOs, etc. He is often sought after by clients to structure and guide their GDPR transition programmes and oversee and advise on their day-to-day progress in achieving compliance with the new requiments. He is recognised for his flexible, business friendly solutions structured around the soft law instruments of the Art.29 Working Party, the interpretative court practice of ECJ and ECHR and the in-depth understanding of the GDPR.

In energy law, Dimitar advises leading companies on the Bulgarian renewable energy market. His activities in IT law include the drafting of software licensing agreements, online games of chance, cloud agreements, etc. He also offers assistance on all securities law matters as per MiFID 1 and MiFID 2.

Dimitar has developed a special interest in the legal nature of cryptocurrencies, ICO procedures and blockchain technology.

He has published a number of articles and has spoken at several conferences on data protection and securities law.
