Ali Persembe

Vice Chairman, Saha Credit Rating , Trading Tutor, Author, TV Presenter

Currently the managing and founding partner of Turkey’s first local “Corporate Governance” and “Credit Rating” agency, Ali Persembe is also an independent financial analyst/investment consultant, writer, and TV presenter. He is also an experienced Technical Analyst and a Trading Systems Developer.

After graduating the University of Central Florida (Finance & Management), he started his trading career in the futures and options markets of the U.S. and diversified into the international foreign exchange and capital markets. Following several trading desk positions in London and Geneva, Ali returned to Turkey and founded the country’s first ever futures & options brokerage house (1985).

With over 39 years in the industry and those years’ accumulated know-how and experience, Ali devoted a considerable amount of his time to developing and conducting training courses on technical analysis, trading psychology and discipline, money management, and futures and options. He has conducted training courses and seminars in 20 countries and 28 world cities and trained traders and analysts in almost every single bank and brokerage house in Turkey.

 

Ali started the nation’s first mutual and retirement funds rating service back in 1999 and eventually founded, in 2005, again the first licensed credit rating and corporate governance rating agency SAHA. His four volume Technical Analysis series is the nation’s highest selling financial book and he has translated series of world financial classics into Turkish. His new book The Rule of Money has just been published and took its place amongst the shelves of all major bookstores. He is also the writer of non-financial, non-fiction historical collection of essays called It’s a Small World.

As a pioneer of stand-up financial comedy (first of its kind), Ali was the producer and presenter of financial comedy “Persembe’nin Gelisi”, aired on CNBC-e. His editorials appear regularly on daily and financial newspapers such as Dünya and Milliyet. He also lectures financial economics post graduates at Bilgi University, Istanbul. “Persembe’nin Gelisi” is now airing on the new finance TV channel EKOTÜRK.
