Tsvetelina Kuzmanova

International Cooperation Expert at the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC)

Tsvetelina, joined the non-banking financial regulator in Bulgaria in 2017, where she has been working on EU legislation in the Council of the EU, mainly on Sustainable Finance, including EU regulation proposals on ESG related disclosure, sustainable benchmarks, green bonds and the EU taxonomy to facilitate sustainable investments. Tsvetelina is also a representative at the Member States Expert Group on Sustainable Finance at the European Commission. On a technical level, she participates in the work of the European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA), with a focus on financial innovation and sustainability.

Previously, Tsvetelina worked on international development projects in Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, specializing in climate change mitigation and infrastructure, as well as on funding clean energy projects at the European Climate Foundation. Her academic background is in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge and Political Science and Diplomacy from Yonsei University, South Korea.
